Developing times for HP5 Plus in Acutol :
1+10, 7 minutes from Ilford
From Paterson:
1+9, 8 minutes (on their web site)

Our own - and modest - Ralph Lambrecht has just published a new book,

Pushing HP5+ with PMK Pyro02 Oct 2003 17:25 GMT5
just thought i would seek the opinions of those more technically
proficient than myself...
a few months ago by mistake i found that Ilford HP5+ could be pushed
from ISO 400 to ISO 3200 using Kodak T-Max developer at 75 degrees
New Tri-X in HC11002 Oct 2003 14:32 GMT9
How many of you out there are using the new Tri-X developed in HC110?
Michael Covington's page http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/hc110/
says Kodak made a mistake with the development times for Dilution B.
Can anyone confirm this? 3 3/4 minutes at 20 degrees C seems awfully
Hello.....02 Oct 2003 04:58 GMT8
I guess r.photo.darkroom is no less vulnerable to keyboard wars than any
other news group.  I was sorta hoping that guys who did darkroom stuff were
a bit more tech oriented and perhaps less responsive to Usenet drama
queens.  Oh well....
Sulfite in fixer02 Oct 2003 02:19 GMT6
Increasing the sulfite content of a typical fixer will allow it to be
stored longer?
(I don't mean exaustion by silver - just possible oxidation due to air
contact, etc).
some of my work01 Oct 2003 20:15 GMT8
Mark has posted the scan I made of three prints made last week on HP5+

Printing color on b & w paper01 Oct 2003 08:17 GMT1
I just restarted my hobby of photography after about 25 years. I
remember printing color negs on b&w paper, but I can't remember how to

paper grades etc.01 Oct 2003 04:10 GMT24
This should be of interest. It looks like no VC paper matches up with
the ANSI/ISO grade system. Look at grade 3, for instance. MG IV at 3
is closer to 3 1/2, and Kodak Polymax at grade 3 is closer to ANSI 2.
It looks like I should use grade 2 1/2 filter on my MG IV!
