First some background as to why I ended up with a P&S......   I
recently purchased a Waverunner for a bit of fun and also for
transport to get to some new locations that would otherwise be out of
reach, or simply just be too much coin and mucking around to get there

Although I'm very happy with my SB900, I discovered that you can change the
zoom from auto to manual, but you can't go back to auto!
None of the review sites, nor the manual addresses this missing feature. You
have to turn the flash of or the camera (so the flash goes to standby) ...

Most of the photographers here are far away from each other, geographical (I
live in Portugal, for example) so we won't "bite" each other by sharing some
idea's. I was thinking how to extend my / our business(es).

After the monthly board meeting, the Shoot-In Advisory Board Committee Team
Group has chosen Close Up as this month's photographic mandate. However,
this mandate has been Bowzerized, as usual. Here's the idea: grab a lens,
any lens, and shoot something at that lens' closet ...

Been a while since I've posted some photos.  I've taken up
astrophotography and it's a steep learning curve, but loving it.
Went to a dark site about 2.5hrs west of Brisbane on the weekend
with one of the local astronomy clubs/societies.  Learned heaps

Please post any ideas you might have for the next mandate!

I'm Dan, I live near Byron, which is near the Gold Coast.
I dev my own B&W and C41 at home, and looking into moving into E6 as
well soon, I was considering buying a tank for doing 16 and 35mm

Quick question:
Know of any places that do quick E6 in the Gold Coast?
Going there during the Easter break and I'd like to process some E6 while in town.
