CHEAP Full-frame 24.5MP Nikon DSLR - Due Date31 Dec 2008 06:05 GMT3
There is a need for a CHEAP Full-frame 24.5MP Nikon
DSLR. The D3X is expensive. Nikon knows all this.
The question is, when will Nikon release such a great
camera (be it called the D800, D700X, D900..). It may
Custom White Balance31 Dec 2008 03:35 GMT40
Camera instruction manual recommend using a WHITE card to do a custom
white balance setting, but have seen where recommend a 18% GRAY card
to do the custom balance, which would be correct way to do it?
Any comments what should be used and what most of you use, the camera
Seabiscuit Falls Behind Four Teeth And Doesn't Take The Win!!30 Dec 2008 15:56 GMT3
It was a spectacular 70º day today so what better way to enjoy it other than
taking the old D3 out to catch the action?  The ground was wet and the mud
was flying.  I was fortunate enough to catch the heart pounding action at
700mm.

Old Film21 Dec 2008 08:46 GMT4
My wife & I were going through some boxes today,
that never got sorted when we moved house, and
came across 7 rolls of film that we never got
developed! We estimate these rolls to have been
Photographing a motor sport event - BANNED20 Dec 2008 08:52 GMT19
A word of warning!!
After emailing the v8 Super Cars today, to see if they would like to use any of my images, and if any of their sponsors would be interested to use some for the advertising or promotional work would be nice to make a few dollars for my trouble, they don’t let ...

Nikon D3x buyers beware - D700x already in prototype15 Dec 2008 17:00 GMT75
Potential Nikon D3x buyers beware - D700x is already in prototype! Compared
to the D3x, it's a no-brainer as to which is best. D700x has the same
sensor,
same AF, marginally less VF coverage, slightly slower shooting rate (4.5

Shootout With The Dueling Nikkors!!14 Dec 2008 16:45 GMT1
It was such a beautiful day today my assistant Manduparhumba and I went out
with our Nikkors for the ultimate shootout!  I was armed with my trusty and
loyal Formidable 500 with 1.4x TC and he was armed with the 200/2 and 2x TC.
It turned out to be a fierce battle.
Larry Thong's Video Adventures!!14 Dec 2008 16:38 GMT47
It seems inevitable, having to upgrade the old dual Xeon system to something
with a little more horsepower under the hood.  Though only a single proc
machine it should do some serious a.s kicking!

Yes, They Really Do Exist!!14 Dec 2008 13:25 GMT3
Really they do!  I actually seen one in person and was able to play with it
today.  If I didn't see it with my own eyes I would say it was a myth.  The
question is why won't Nikon send me my new 600/4?  Come on Nikon let's get
2008 behind us with one more happy customer.
