I have decided to bite the bullet and will finally be upgrading from my current P&S to something a little better, I have decided to go with the Canon 450D after much research and hands on at some of the local vendors with it and a few of the Nikons the choice eventually came down to

Was given a loan of a 40D with a 24/2.8, 28-90/3.5-5.6 & 17-40/4L for the weekend (still waiting for the GX10 to get back, 3 months now). What better way to enjoy a 4 degree morning (-2 with wind chill), and 35 knot winds than to go
