Associated Press Journalists Love The D3!!31 Aug 2008 20:06 GMT3
I was fortunate enough to meet up with a local APJ yesterday and swap
stories about gear, Nikon of course.  He was amazed and awed at the sight of
"Fat Bastard" and complimented me for being able to snag such a sweet piece
of glass.  I would love to have my very own set of APJ ...

Boi Toy of huge proportions physically and mentally!30 Aug 2008 03:29 GMT84
It's not often I take notice of a stink boat but this beast just has to
be taken seriously. From Kiwi too. They must be stark raving mad over
there. This think gets up to some serious speed!

Fat Bastard Goes Wide And Catches Some Tail!!30 Aug 2008 03:29 GMT1
Wide open that is!  And what does it capture?  Some of the best tail you
would ever want to see.  And yes, blondes do have more fun!

Getting Creamy With The Fat Bastard!!30 Aug 2008 02:33 GMT2
I don't know what else to say other than it was a sight to behold when the
"Fat Bastard" marched into Baltimore!  My jaw dropped in awe when I seen the
"Fat Bastard".  The "Fat Bastard" even trumps the excitement of meeting
Obama.
Photo of the day (POD)  High speed landing! 28th August 200828 Aug 2008 21:58 GMT2
Late for dinner as usual this little bird holds no fear. I'm not sure
how fast she lands but it's considerably faster than her siblings!

Good Oz online printing service..?28 Aug 2008 07:35 GMT3
Any suggestions?  I do a variety of work, mostly less than 24" x 36",
but sometimes very wide panoramics, and it's a rather long drive to
anything decent..  Anyone using and getting good results from an Oz
*online* service?  I would rather patronise someone *other* than Harvey
WOW!  Canon's 50D Looks Like It Is Going To Be A Sweet Camera!!!28 Aug 2008 01:51 GMT21
Really!  I think Canon is going to have a winner with this one.  I hope they
make this much of an improvement on the 5D replacement.  My only wish is
Canon should drop that stupid print button they have on the 50D, it looks so
amateurish.  I'm so glad I didn't get rid of my ...
If Only Abraham Zapruder Had A D3!!27 Aug 2008 15:26 GMT16
The JFK assassination and grassy knoll conspiracy would be solved.
Fortunately I was able to recreate the event with my D3.

They sure don't build 'em like they used to (thank God!27 Aug 2008 15:00 GMT11
Aussies will recognise it straight off but our American friends might
wonder a little as to what it is. Born in the golden years of Rock and Roll.
More kids were conceived on the back seat of these cars than in the
bedroom! No pill in those days and boy... The glaring look on ...

Bloody magpies - Aussie for a collector of all things useless26 Aug 2008 06:06 GMT26
When Magpies build their nests it's not unusual to find it made from
human items they found  laying around. Thus it is said by true blue
Aussies that a collector or horder of 'stuff' is a "Bloody Magpie"

Backfocusing Problems With The D3!!26 Aug 2008 05:40 GMT46
Oh CRAP!  My beloved D3 is starting to backfocus.  I think it is time to
send it to Nikon for calibration.  I'm so disgusted I wish I bought a 1Ds Mk
III.  How can Nikon be so rotten to their customers?

Getting Aflac'd At The Iron Girl Competition With The D3!!25 Aug 2008 19:21 GMT7
Or should the title be "Sports Shooters Have Buns Of Steel"?  I'll let you
figure it out.  Just bring a bag of walnuts.
