Capturing A Deadly Strike At 9 fps With The D3!! (7 Images)15 Jul 2008 00:07 GMT12
There's nothing more amazing than to capture that very instance right before
death!  Fortunately the old D3 was there to effortlessly capture that split
second climax.

Query about dust in lenses11 Jul 2008 03:57 GMT3
Folks,
I was looking at my Nikkor 18-200 VR zoom lens the other day, and noticed it has
sucked in a fair amount of dust onto various elements inside the lens.  I live
in a high-dust environment (near Longreach in CW QLD), so I'm not too surprised.
If Mark Thomas says it is real...10 Jul 2008 11:38 GMT8
..you might want a 2nd opinion!  This tosser can't buy a game,
but he's the authority on meteorological events?  Riiight!
"However as far as I can tell it is genuine"
"So, remarkably, I think it is real."

One Thing You'll Never Hear Canon 5D Owners Say!!10 Jul 2008 06:31 GMT5
"The camera held in my right hand is the D700. Our storm chase vehicle, the
camera, and yours truly were covered in dirt and dust by day's end -- but
safe and uninjured. It literally took two days to clean everything. Although
VERY dirty, the D700 performed flawlessly and never ...
Catching Some Beautiful Bokeh At The Air-Show With The D3!!09 Jul 2008 22:28 GMT7
The trusty old D3 never ceases to amaze me.  When you think you set the bar
so high that it could never be crossed is when the D3 shines through.  Damn!
I love this camera.

AK-47!
CRAP!  Another Firmware Update For The D3!!08 Jul 2008 15:06 GMT9
I'm starting to think I bought a fucken Canon since this is the third
update.  Oh wait, this is to add more features instead of correcting design
problems.  Installed and loving V2.00!  Great job again Nikon!

THE RETURN OF THE GARY FONG!08 Jul 2008 09:04 GMT4
Taking some pics at a family wedding last week I was able to break out
my trusty Gary Fong flash diffuser.  Check out these two pics taken a
fraction of a second apart.

Yes, the D3 is simply a sports shooter's dream camera!  While Jimmy cracked
corn with his D3 the gymnast went to work on the parallel bars.

Canon's Desperation And False Advertising Attract The FTC!!06 Jul 2008 15:54 GMT53
WOW!!  Leave it to Canon to stoop this low after getting trashed by Nikon's
D300 and D3.  Well, Canon was in a decline before all the Mk III focusing
issues and years of low performance glass.  But this is a new low for Canon
and hopefully the final act of desperation before ...
[photos] did somebody say "dewdrop refractions"?06 Jul 2008 07:41 GMT16
My first real go at this.  Most around 2:1 100mm macro lens +
68mm extension tubes.  Click for the full image,
What I learnt:
