Just A Pinch Between The Cheek And Gum!!14 Jan 2008 20:36 GMT13
Is all he needs.  Luckily the D3 and Formidable 500 were there to catch the
action.  Unfortunately there were no brass cuspidors in spitting distance.

And that, sports fans, is why God invented sunroofs!
Taking The D3 On The Ice!  Identification Needed?12 Jan 2008 15:20 GMT2
The D3 is incredible!  We all know the Formidable 500 is truly amazing, but
I never thought the resolving power of the D3 could have reproduced the
exotic colors and detail of the wildlife that is found on the frozen lake so
well!  The colors and markings are so rich and beautiful, ...

[photo] Brisbane cityscape11 Jan 2008 11:54 GMT48
Had a break in the weather, so thought I'd have a crack at a
Brisbane cityscape.  First go at it, so please offer advice on
both composition and processing.
This is cropped, obviously, because I thought there was too much
Kingfishers Love Double Stick Bokeh!!11 Jan 2008 00:13 GMT6
Yes folk, these birds are small and fast, but can't escape the obsolete D200
and Formidable 500.  Even with such speed he can't escape the double stick
bokeh and blown highlights, but the kingfisher has incredible detail and
more than 16 colors that isn't painted in.
K850i 5 megapixel "camera phone" poor detail quality - should I be     unimpressed?10 Jan 2008 23:15 GMT4

Is it just me or does this image look interpolated? Lost detail looks
"digitally enhanced" rather than blurred.
Solution for expensive mem cards...10 Jan 2008 09:05 GMT31
What's with the prices of memory cards these days? Companies like Sandisk
overprice their cards to extremely high, because of the high demand. Memory
of other devices, like PC's or MP3 players are very low, so we're getting
the short end of the stick.
hoorah!  one of my photos got famous!10 Jan 2008 00:47 GMT9
Well, sort of.  One of my macros, large fly, got featured on
today's Daily Deviations at the DeviantArt website where I have a
gallery of some of my better photos.  There's about 48million,
and rising, pieces of art on that site.  One of the moderators
The Formidable 500 Makes Public Mockery Out Of A Canon Shooter!!08 Jan 2008 20:28 GMT15
The old Formidable 500 and 2X TC was out in public enjoying the beautiful
weather minding their own business when a Canon shooter tried to mock and
ridicule this sweet combination.  Of course the Formidable 500 held its
ground while the Canon shooter backed down is total disgust and ...
THE TOTALLY DIGITAL D60 GETS THE SPIRIT!08 Jan 2008 16:45 GMT10
A guy here in town wants me to take my infrared-converted D60 and go
down to Chickamauga Battlefield and take pics of ghosts.  This is how
he describes it:
