The Battle Of The Brands!!!  When Will It end?31 Jan 2008 09:20 GMT5
Come on guys, it's bad enough we have these petty Nikon vs Canon wars on the
Internet, but in public face-to-face!  Both were going at it and neither was
going to back down.  I didn't stick around to see the outcome of the brawl,
but I'm sure Nikon came out victorious.

Hi all.  I am new to this forum (or any for that matter) so forgive me if I
am not following protocol.
I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ18 for wildlife pics, and some videos.  I have been
able to convert the .mov files to .avi, and would like to be able to select

ACR NEF mistake?30 Jan 2008 23:07 GMT12
When I took multi exposure pictures, ACR only shows the first picture. That

Obviously, ACR can't read all information that Nikon software can. I
consider this a major flaw, because you have no way of ever ...

50mm pictures with D30026 Jan 2008 01:11 GMT244
While I was waiting for my new zoom lens, I only had the 50mm left. So I
thought about something someone said someday: take pictures without a
zoomlens to learn composition.
So for all you boys and girls I hauled my camera around town and tried to

My Kookaburra (my turn to post a bird shot)23 Jan 2008 21:16 GMT50
Keeping up with the Jones' and all of their birds shots, here is one
of our famous Aussie songbirds, the Kookaburra.  It was a bit out of
my outfit's usable range (whatever that means lol) so I have included
an arrow in the picture to point it out....
Wild dogs pose for the D30023 Jan 2008 11:32 GMT22
The other day I went to a one horse village called Runa, close to my home in
Portugal, to take some pictures of an abandoned RR station, when I saw these
two wild dogs. I tried my best to have them come to me, but no way. They did
seem to like the D300, because they took turns in ...
1968 Pentax Spotmatic23 Jan 2008 05:55 GMT15
Cleaning out the house in preparation for a move. I've got a Pentax Spotmatic
with 50mm, 105mm and 200mm lenses and various filters and what-nots. Worth
anything to anyone or should I just keep them as museum pieces ?
Thanks.
Trying macro on a spider23 Jan 2008 02:34 GMT5
Seeing Troy's macro insect shots I decided to have a go at a spider.
There are a few out of focus spots but I am happy with it
