Yes, it's true.  If yours falls into the serial number range, pretty much
every one ever made, you can send it in for repair if you feel you are
having problems.  I wonder how many people are going to be sending their Mk
III in if it needs the repair or not?

OK, Sheriff, I'd better explain this one.
I went out in the back yard tonight to photograph the full moon with
the 40D.
I had the 400 f/5.6L mounted with the 1.4x TC.  Didn't get anything

This applies to Australian photographers.
Canon Australia (Phone 13 13 83) informed me in mid October they have a 2
week turn-around for DSLR repairs and currently this was on time, unless...

I always like to push the limits of my equipment so I thought I'd see
what the 40D could do at the extreme edge of sanity.  Here's one taken
this AM at ISO 3200 and a shutter speed of 1/8000 sec.  Try THAT with
your crappy P&S camera!
