| landscapes and hyperfocal distance | 11 Sep 2007 04:37 GMT | 19 |
I'm thinking about taking some dusk cityscape pics to test out my new tripod, and I got to thinking about landscape photos and focussing distances etc. I've been reading that the hyperfocal distance is where you focus

| JUST ANOTHER NIGHT AT THE OLD BALLYARD! | 09 Sep 2007 13:35 GMT | 152 |
Another hot 105° day in Paradise today, but we had threatening skies around sundown so it wasn't so hot at the old ballpark tonight. Just muggy as Hell. A capacity crowd filled AT&T Field to watch the Chattanooga Lookouts lose their last home game of the season.

| EVEN BAD HAIR DAYS LOVE THE 20D ! | 06 Sep 2007 16:07 GMT | 6 |
Drove the new FJ Cruiser over to my favorite stomping ground at lunch today and got all these shots without even getting out of the car. I think that new Manfrotto window clamp that I picked up this weekend for 20 bucks is gonna work out just fine.

| DIY Timed Remote on the cheap | 06 Sep 2007 12:50 GMT | 3 |
After mucking around with multiple exposures during the eclipse, and forgetting more than once where i was at with the timing, I decided to hasten a project that I've had in the back of my mind for a long time. Canon make a timed remote for the 20D and upwards but it is hideously ...

I have a number of friends and family that suffer from time to time with varying degrees of depression; some have been diagnosed as Bipolar. In my search to find some form of help for them, I discovered a great little site http://depressionhelp4u.com Admittedly this site

| You learn a lot by reading... | 05 Sep 2007 11:47 GMT | 17 |
I found this headstone at the historical cemetery of Nth Stradbroke Island as I gathered photos for the 2008 calendar. I'm at a loss as to what happened to these wives... He was after all the Medical superintendent of the colony!

| THE TOTALLY DIGITAL D60 GETS HIGH! | 04 Sep 2007 23:01 GMT | 7 |
Drove my new FJ Cruiser up on the big hill yesterday to Clingman's Dome, the highest point in Tennessee. After battling the crowded and curvy single-file roads for a couple of hours (don't ever go to the Smokies on a Holiday weekend!), I finally made it to the top.

I've always felt that there aren't many things more boring than shots of wildlife in captivity or birds at feeders. But I was kinda bored today: http://www.pbase.com/bret/image/85008898/original

Hi from a new lurker. Whilst doing my interminable research online prior to buying a Nikon D80 (which I have yet to buy), I happened to see on: http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod4809.htm
