| 20D LOSES FOCUS! (300 f/4L IS Update) | 07 Mar 2007 14:21 GMT | 4 |
My previous two tests of the 300 f/4L IS showed some peculiarities that warranted further investigation. Either the lens was very soft or else it wasn't focusing properly. So today I did a quickie test, this time with a brick wall at about a

| ANNI RE-TESTS THE 300 F/4L IS ! | 06 Mar 2007 07:54 GMT | 4 |
Not happy with the findings of my previous test, I did another test today under more controlled conditions. All shots were tripod mounted using mirror lockup and a remote shutter release cable. Focusing was AF and was monitored using my Canon Right Angle "C" 2x viewfinder.

I've just been told about a 21st where some friends of friends want a photographer to record events. It's a 4hr deal. I'm wondering how I should structure my fee - as this would be the first paid job I've done. I'm studying photog and have taken it

| ANNI TESTS THE 300 f/4L IS ! | 06 Mar 2007 06:31 GMT | 7 |
OK, sports fans, this weeks test involves the Canon 300 f/4L IS. Specifically, I wanted to see how it would compare against the 400 f/ 5.6L (which sadly lacks IS). I did a series of shots with each lens at the official TN Canon Testing Grounds (shot out of my bathroom

Hi Perthites, well no prior warning from me this time since I forgot about it, and was woken by an SMS asking me what time I'd be getting there. A quick wash and a few coffees before I slipped onto the freeway and made my way in the door in time to snap up a MZ-S for a lowly $200 as ...

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2098505,00.asp Towards the bottom of the article there's a mention of cheap, write- once memory which is intended to be used for archival purposes. I wonder if the capacity will be greater than today's typical CF
