USA based printer/framer12 Oct 2006 23:02 GMT2

framing? Although I don't expect to be selling many prints I do want to
maximise the *chances* of a sale, which is far less likely if someone

Upgrade from an 70-300 4-5.6 ED?11 Oct 2006 14:11 GMT2
I have a D70 and shoot mainly motor sports and aviation.  I mainly use a
AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED and found the AF performance a bit slow.  I am
after some views of what my next lens should be.  Keep in mind I am only
an amateur and can't really justify multi-thousand dollar ...

Picture Sharing10 Oct 2006 13:47 GMT10
Ok, seems everyone is starting to show their "POTW". This is my lame
effort at being arty. Some may like it, some may not. When I look at
this long enough, it looks like there are bugs trapped inside ( and no,
i'm not on drugs). Hope someone likes it. :-)

Toward the end of "Nice new thread", the question of photo sharing
sites came up.
This is something that I've been giving some thought to myself
recently, as I think it's about time to put some of my shots out there
Another perspective on film shooting (longish)09 Oct 2006 13:30 GMT56
Hey folks,
as I type I'm listening to my scanners working overtime here at my desk.
They will be active for some months I think as I plough through 13 rolls of
Velvia 100, 3 rolls of Velvia 50 (XPan), 10 rolls of Provia 100 (9 pushed 2
Re: "Stuffed" CF card09 Oct 2006 12:11 GMT1
Just a follow up on a previous thread regarding my experience with a CF card
which I thought I completely stuffed. Got a card reader, put it on the PC
with CF card plugged in, used "Digital Image Recovery" freeware and
recovered all but two of 96 shots. I was so relieved. I then ...
External storage (no laptop)09 Oct 2006 10:59 GMT8
I thinking of getting a external device (HD or DVD) I want something
reliable and fast (does not need to be ultra portable)
I'm tossing up between the Nikon, Epson and Sony DVD.
