A friend spotted this auction and wanted some more opions on how to

Every now and then I get a bee in my bonnet about scanning my
transparencies, but the expense to get them done professionally always
puts me off. From memory I have about 2-3000, mostly about 20 years old
now. Time is marching on, and they're not improving in condition!

You bet you can. All you have to do is get a bunch of Korean holiday makers
on an Island and confiscate their cameras! The only cameras allowed on the
beach or in the water are the ones owned by the resort photographers and no
flash is permitted - Except the resort photographers ...

I am after a lighting tent kit for small parts photography (work staff). As
I am only the resident enthusiast but not a pro, I do not know where in
Melbourne (or Australia) I can buy this type of equipment. I have used B&H
in NY before but looking on eBay, I have seen some good ...

Parents are going to get a digital video camera in next month, they're
looking at the Panasonic DS-150 DVD at the moment. I had not heard of
DVD-Ram and was sceptical, but it seems to be pretty revolutionary -
reusable discs. I think the camera is around the $800 mark.
