MMC V SD07 Jan 2006 06:33 GMT21
Just buying a little camera which takes either MMC or SD memory.  I have had
a quick look on ebay and there is a substantial difference in the cost in
favour of MMC.  Is there any good reason to go with SD in preference?
Thank you.

There have been a few "Show is YOUR work" and "Put Up or Shut Up" kinda
comments in the threads of late.
So at the grave risk of getting bashed about ;-) I have updated my gallery
with a few new images and I hereby "Put Up" ....and will probably "Shut Up"

Transparent Canon cams on Sunrise this morning!06 Jan 2006 01:52 GMT9
Did anyone see the transparent canon cams on Sunrise this morning?
The one that really caught my eye was the transparent DSLR. It looked quite
similar to a 350D, but it was clear except for a circular area positioned
behind the lens. All the internal workings were hidden in this ...

Disappointments in Digital, hopes for the future?05 Jan 2006 10:00 GMT20
What has disappointed you most about the digital age?  And what is on
your list for next year?
For me, the two major disappointments are:
1. The resolution/noise 'brick wall', where *affordable* low-noise

Picture framing advice sought04 Jan 2006 11:29 GMT7
Hi all and HNY to you.  For those of you who are of Chinese descent, then
you can apply that on the 27th (or is it the 28th??).
Anyhow... I'm considering doing my own framing, partly for the $$ savings,
but importantly to have control over the process and perhaps a bit for the
Sigma lenses - any good or what?04 Jan 2006 11:16 GMT6
Overhead gulls in a wind so strong they could hover stationary while I
walked up and shot 'em! All you owners of Canon's 24-70 "L" who spent
$2500 on your lenses... This one cost $950 at Kayell. 24-70 DG EX f/2.8
macro too!

Extreme Dark Field Q - Johnnie Walker03 Jan 2006 10:04 GMT2
Have any of you seen those ads for Johnnie Walker on the television at the
moment? Any thoughts on what process might have been employed to achieve the
effect?
For those of you who haven't seen the ad, it's not on their site that I
white balance and exposure03 Jan 2006 08:00 GMT12
I am interested in opinions/experiences.
I have been recently experimenting with warming/cooling a pics tones
through using the whitbalance settings.  (e.g. shooting in daylight
using the wWB under shade setting.)

photos based on digital image in Melbourne.
I took some panoramas made up of several images stitched together and I
would like to have some of them printed.
