50mm auto focus OK for $US219. Question is will the Autofocus work in

Doing photography as your non-primary business? TAX WARNING!10 Dec 2005 20:38 GMT8
I found out today that if I'm carrying on two distinctly different
types of business then I must treat them separately - even though I'm a
sole trader. This also means that you cannot use the loss of one to
offset the profit of another, which leaves me halfway up sh.t creek. So
What is camera shop markup?08 Dec 2005 22:55 GMT7
My friends father has business dealings with a Sydney camera chain and can
get me a new camera and lens at their cost price. The only snag is, he
doesn't like/want to haggle with them. He only wants to call, ask the price
and accept it.

6x6 or 645 med. format decisions07 Dec 2005 13:50 GMT1
I'm fast becoming interested in shooting medium format and am considering
options right now.  While the Mamiya 645 range looks good and appears quite
affordable, thoughts turn to the 6x6 format for the basic reason that to my
uninitiated mind it appears to give ultimate ...

opinions sought - photo download website idea...07 Dec 2005 12:04 GMT24
Can I solicite some opinions?
What if we had a resource where we could upload photos (BIG ones
(multi-megabyte) or SMALL ones), as a reserve of photos that we could use to
showcase some of our work, or just allow others to use?
Lens expert: Oil or lens separation?07 Dec 2005 07:58 GMT2
To all lens and optical experts, I'm trying to determine a defect on one
of my lens (please see attachment or here:

with oil nor lens separation, I'm wondering if you can ID the fault.

I currently have a 20D and 24-70L and I'm thinking of trading up to a 5D and
the 24-105L
After a $500.00 Canon cash back, and selling my lens and 20D, I could do it
for about $2200 out of my pocket. My motivation for this is to get the wide
