Can we use third party converters on digital camera lenses? I.e the EF-S range of lenses protrudes back into the camera body further so I am assuming we can't use a converter on the lens. However I guess we should be able to use a converter on a standard EF lens being used on a ...

I have a Panasonic NGV250 camcorder and via a 4 pin dv cable connected it to my wintal dvd recorder to copy a birthday onto dvd. the video copied fine but there is no sound on the dvd. Im awful at this stuff, can anyone suggest why it may not have worked?
