I phoned up yesterday to enrol in the below short course but found that as yet it was not running as they needed "a few more people" to get the numbers up. I'm off to Kakadu in late May and as I'm an SLR newbie (under 1 year exp.) I figured I could use a little help :)

I'm off to Angkor, Cambodia in May, and want to step up to using a SLR setup and start taking my photography semi-seriously (still amateur though). I can probably spend ~$2,500 and I'd like some help on what'd be the best setup for me.

Considering getting the VP6210 from powerinnumbers and dropping a Hitachi 60GB 7200rpm into it. Going on my first trip with the DSLR and I need a bit more storage than 1.5GB :) Anyone bought one of these lately or the PD7X??
