I have the Canon L 24-70 2,8. Is there any adaptor/converter which can make the lens a tad wider say down to 17? If so is the result still sharp? Thank you

Just wondering if anyone has used the Manfrotto 055Pro with the 486RC2 compact ball head, and if so, whats your opinion. It's rated to hold 6kg, but has anyone here tried it with close to that weight?

I know there has been many posts regarding tripods and people have said get a manfrotto this or manfrotto that.... ...bottom line advice for a 10D, battery pack and zoom lens. Quick release required with lightweight and allround pan.
