I was sitting here bored & hot, so I went outside to cool down, nearly had a heart attack when I ran into this little chap, then I thought why not take his photo. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3143307

| Which long lens for Nikon D70? | 22 Feb 2005 22:50 GMT | 10 |
I bought a Nikon D70 last Friday and I'm really happy with it. It looks like we'll be needing a longer lens and I was wondering what my options are. I think I'd like up to a 300mm lens because I think that 450mm 35mm equivalent will be adequate for my purposes.

| Manfrotto DIGI tripods | 21 Feb 2005 07:28 GMT | 5 |
So for this upcoming trip, I'll need a travel tripod too - the Manfrotto 055 is just too big (60 cm or so folded) and too heavey at about 2.2kg. The Manfrotto Digi tripods look interesting, such as 714SHB which is 35cm collapsed, and less than half the weight at 1.0kg.

| Best prices for Canon glass in Melb, or Oz mail order? | 21 Feb 2005 04:58 GMT | 11 |
Now that Dirt Cheap has closed down, where are other Melbournites going for good prices on Canon lenses? I'm keen to buy a 50mm/F1.4 & a 85mm/F1.2L or 85mm/F1.8, but I *really* don't want to pay retail, or buy from OS.
