| B&W Mailers or Kits? | 16 Aug 2008 11:58 GMT | 40 |
I met with one of the local photography clubs and confirmed what I suspected, that being no one local processes B&W film. What are my mail order options in the US? Any recommendations either way? I am looking for process only and sleeved negatives, no prints.

| Is it ok to post about digital here, if it is a negative view on digital? | 16 Aug 2008 04:07 GMT | 7 |
I am wondering if we can do posts here that deal with digital cameras as long of the post put digital cameras in a poor light. For example could I do a post that says that digital cameras are less convenient then film?

Nuno Souto, consensus shows and experience proves that you contribute nothing of value to these groups that you frequent. Always an instigator on the warpath with your vile and foul mouth, even to those who have done no harm to you at all. Whether you start the wars or

| Please post about digital cameras to the appropriate newsgroups | 15 Aug 2008 23:35 GMT | 9 |
This newsgroup, rec.photo.equipment.35mm, is full of inappropriate posts concerning digital cameras. This topic has been discussed at length here many times before. Digital cameras that *look like* 35mm cameras are not 35mm cameras. That still applies to a film format, as ...

| Who does chip Nikon chip conversions beside Rolland Elliot?? | 14 Aug 2008 12:32 GMT | 6 |
Do you know if anyone else does the chip conversion for manual focus Nikon lenses so they will work with matrix metering besides Rolland Elliot? He hasn't answered my e-mails and I've read some not-so-good stuff about him on the web. Please e-mail me at gaasland@juno.com

Try as I might, I couldn't come up with a "Mary Poppins" shot for Bõwser so this will have to do. http://www.d-mac.info/POD/POD-Aug-1408.htm

Today's furry little cuddly things... Escaped being boiled alive for breakfast only to end up as Kentucky junk food! Like the sheep farmer said. Some we shear, some we pamper others we eat! http://www.d-mac.info/POD/POD-Aug-1308.htm

I think a worthy subject to discuss is the SI. I applaud everyone who was in charge of running it so well and especially the founding members. I don't agree that lack of participation was the result of the wars on

| Simpler Times With The D3!! | 13 Aug 2008 09:33 GMT | 7 |
Even with runaway technology its always nice to be able to turn off all the bells and whistles and shoot like the great masters of yesteryear. Ansel Adams would be jealous of the D3 shooter. <http://ritaberk.myhosting247.com/yesteryear.htm>

Retirement doesn't come easily for me. Boredom has set in and it's only the second month! Samantha (my daughter) must be out of her mind trying to sort out the mess I left her... That's why I keep going to the office twice a day and

| What's all this digital crap doing here? | 12 Aug 2008 08:43 GMT | 31 |
OK; I'm not a regular here, but something seems entirely out of whack to me. The name of the group is r.p.e.35mm. Not "r.p.e.cameras-that-look-like-35mm-cameras-but-are-digital". 35mm, last I heard, referred to a *film* format, having a nominal width
