Through The Windows With The D3!!25 Apr 2008 11:50 GMT3
The old D3 does it again!  It pulls off another great moment that only Nikon
can capture.  It's so nice to find open windows when the D3 is around.

Insurance for photography equipment - Help24 Apr 2008 09:29 GMT3
I live in Gibraltar and will travel to south america later this

equipment, but to date all the companies do not offer insurance for
someone resident in Gibraltar (an EU country, but this does not seem
The D3 Gets A Taste Of Red Meat!!24 Apr 2008 00:26 GMT2
DAMN!  After the firmware update, the D3 is even more vicious than ever!
This thing is really kicking some serious butt and looking for blood!  Who
would have thought that Nikon could improve a camera that has been deemed
beyond perfect?  Thanks again, Nikon!
Konica A4 won't wind film23 Apr 2008 21:38 GMT6
I have a Konica A4 I bought in 1989. I recently tried to use it and
found that the film no longer advances. You can hear gears spining
inside, but the take up spool only moves a little bit if there is
no film on it, and not at all if there is.

Sigma loves Nikon22 Apr 2008 02:02 GMT2
Suprise, suprise, suprise as Gomer Pyle would say.
I borrowed a Sigma 70 - 200 F/2.8 Ex DG MkII lens from the distributor
on Friday just to see if it would be as good with Nikon as that are on a
Canon. http://www.douglasjames.com.au/previews/suprise.htm

People with Cameras are odd and maybe Terrorists!19 Apr 2008 20:33 GMT15
"Steve Carroll was another hapless victim of this growing suspicion. Police
seized the film from his camera while he was out taking snaps in a Hull
shopping centre. They later returned it but a police investigation found
they had acted correctly because he appeared to be taking ...
Faking DX encoding18 Apr 2008 16:32 GMT10
Someone gave me a camera that does not have manual exposure compensation
which sets film speed by reading DX encoding. I have bulk Ilford PAN-F
which I would like to use in the camera, but no resuable DX encoded
cassettes.
How about using foam swabs for lens cleaning?17 Apr 2008 20:59 GMT5
I know that cotton swabs can be used, but it seems to me that the foam
swabs are lint-free,where the cotton swabs might not be...
And I goofed on eBay, now instead of the 2 AE1s I planned to have, I
have 3, one  of which is an AE1 program, and the manual for it arrived
