[SI] Shootin suggestion31 Mar 2008 14:24 GMT14
I guess everyone has noticed the slow death of shootin. Oddly coinciding
with the increased theft of images and deliberate attacks on some.
I think shootin is a part of the fabric of this group ... At least
before it was damaged by those who can't accept that it's OK to disagree
Nikon AF-S 80-200 user manual...?29 Mar 2008 20:31 GMT1
Help!  I just purchased a Nikkor AF-S silent wave 80-200 used, but it
came without a user manual.  I didn't think much of it since everything
is on the internet these days... well everything except a user manual
for this lens.  Does anyone know where I can find it in .pdf or even ...
Great parent's photography site!!27 Mar 2008 23:33 GMT1
I am trying to get better with photographing my son and I found a VERY
mom-friendly photography site if any of you are interested.  There are
all levels of people participating, from beginners to pros.  And
what's great is they run lessons and the pros help the beginners get
Semi OT: Does anyone who is NOT a SPAMMER use gmail?24 Mar 2008 06:39 GMT14
I'm thinking of just filtering anything that comes from gmail accounts,
but am wondering if I'd miss anything?
Do any legit posters here in r.p.e.35mm use a gmail account?
Possibly the same for yahoo.com ...

an image to a screen which is damaged.
The screen's material is clear lucite with a front film for image

Nikon F4s Lens help18 Mar 2008 16:39 GMT13
I acquired a NIkon F4s last year, a fascinating camera, but I've been
a Canon guy all my life and frankly do not understand the bewildering
array (alphabet soup?) of Nikon lens offerings.  The only thing of
which I am sure is that the G series is not at all compatible with the

Normal-to-slight-WA for Nikon.12 Mar 2008 01:03 GMT7
I have a D80 and picked up a used 50/1.8 AF which I am very happy
with.
I am now considering something wider to supplement it, preferably at a
low price. Essentially, something like the 35/2 I had when I was
Canon AE1 AND Nikon D70, call me inexperienced!11 Mar 2008 21:25 GMT3
I'm pretty angry at the guy who sold me the AE1 on eBay, he had a 100%
rating, and had been on eBay for YEARS, but he misrepresented this
Canon outfit. One end cap of a lens is stuck in place, another lens
has a filter stuck on it,and he said that the "lens case linings were
Image Enhancement Software... 3D... Cool Freeware10 Mar 2008 21:34 GMT1
This was the coolest software iv'e seen in a while besides for

does. I was so impressed, it took my image and added elements to it to
[SI] Status of SI?10 Mar 2008 12:01 GMT19
Just had a look at the SI page, because I believe the
current mandate "Sky" is due about now. There is a message
as of the 20th Feb that it is on hiatus. Will the current
mandate be done? Will it come back? Can I make a submission
