Night Football11 Nov 2007 16:18 GMT12
I will be shooting my nephew's football game in Nashville on Saturday. It
starts at 5:30 p.m. I am afraid I am a bit ill-equipped. I have a 400 5.6
lens with my Canon 5D. I am guessing that I will be shooting a lot of 800
and 1600 iso shots and getting some blurry images due to ...

Is it still possible to get to the upgrade (green sticker) which would

Canon Copy Equipment We had to close our store!09 Nov 2007 18:36 GMT3
I am hoping some one can help us?
We had tried to call the president of Canon, but they will not let us
talk to him and he will not call back. What do we do?
The store is no longer in business in the area. Due to a number of
Wow. Block 3 trolls and the group is dead!09 Nov 2007 14:24 GMT14
Absolutely amazing. Bret Douglas has succeeded in taking control of this

THE 40D JUST LOVES POLAR BEARS!08 Nov 2007 16:12 GMT6
It was a bit windy the day I shot this one. The old Tojo truck I won
bombed out when I forgot the anti-freeze it, but the absolutely
fantastic 40D with the incredibly reliable 400 F5.5 lens with 4
stacked tele-converters plus a close up adaptor got me this once in a

When selling a lens on eBay...08 Nov 2007 04:14 GMT22
...and a potential bidder e-mails and asks for the serial number... is
there a legitimate reason for this, or am I just being paranoid that he
may be trying to pull some sort of scam?
Are all Minotla X-700's like mine?06 Nov 2007 16:52 GMT3
I was using the meter in my two Minolta X-700's to check a hand held meter.
I put the camera on manual and took a meter reading.  I moved the aperature
ring on the lense and watched the led move up and down.  Then I moved the
shutter speed dial expecting the same thing to happen.  ...

I have to admit I'm underwhelmed, doesn't shoot like the 20D at all.
One more (of many) process to learn. :-(

Get 40 D or 5 D?02 Nov 2007 18:57 GMT3
I made the mistake of waiting for the 5 D successor (due in part to input
from people who clearly didn't really know), which I expected to be out this
calendar year.  I'd like to get into digital in 2007 and now it looks like
the 40 D is a viable alternative (albeit not FF).  ...
