| Are any flatbed film scanners any good? | 18 Oct 2007 14:47 GMT | 6 |
I normally get my film scanned by a lab, but the cheap lab I've been using has had a change in management, and have raised their price to be on par with every other expensive place in town, plus they will no longer do the higher quality option which gives images about 3300x2200. ...

In a reply to a post in rec.photo.digital.slr-systems, Mr Furman posted a link to two of my images he had stolen without permission. He modified one to degrade the image with the express intent of using his altered version to bully me.

| Teacher Recommendations | 16 Oct 2007 23:47 GMT | 14 |
My 15 year old is taking a film course in HS. Her teacher had her order about 30 rolls of an Eastern European BW 35mm film 400 ASA. The teacher instructed the kids to store the film in the freezer. I think a cool dark dry place is better since the kids don't take the time to bring ...

| Annika: looky here | 16 Oct 2007 23:18 GMT | 14 |
Just read that Canon has announced the development of an 800mm f5.6 L lens. I think it's just what you need, based on the stuff you've posted lately. And, on your 40D, the 800mm f5.6 would still be an 800mm f5.6. Think of it! all your birds would be twice a close. And you'd have ...

I'm going to try to sell a few of my pictures at an upcoming arts and crafts show and I'm looking for a source for inexpensive picture frames and mats. There are a lot of companies on the WWW, but they tend to be a little pricey and I don't have any experience with them. Any ...

| Advice for finding discontinued film | 13 Oct 2007 08:19 GMT | 20 |
I'm particularly fond of Konica Minolta Centuria Super NH, a big part of it may be that I have a DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 II and the two go together so well. Unfortunately, since Konica Minolta is out of the film business, I've been having a hard time finding left over stock. I
