Just going thru some of my old equipment (specifically, Canon FD
manual focus zoom lenses). I've always wondered...what makes the
rattling noise I hear near the mount of so many lenses? Three of my
zooms are all making the same sound when gently shaken. It sounds like

Its time to trade in my film EOS500 35mm SLR. Im looking at the
EOS400D and the D40x. From what I've read, I suspect the D40x just has
the edge.

Here's a freaky string of coincidences:
Went to my favorite cemetary tonight after the rain to re-shoot the
green beanlings.  Moments after parking, I hear the rustling of
feathers, and see not one but 2 hawks!  Pretty standard hawks,

Its performance in low light is actually rather good - ISO 800 looks
very comparable to the Canon EOS400D.  Slips behind a little at 1600

Looking for a bit of help here. Is it possible to make a gradient feather
selection in Photoshop? I may not be describing it correctly, but what I am
trying to do is select the entire image and then feather the selection from
top to bottom so that I have all the pixels at the top ...
