Oops, that should read "TOTALLY DIGITAL INFRARED D60."
Here are a couple of my initial efforts using my newly infrared-
converted D60.
First, a scene as it looked through my 20D:

Well sports fans, a new day has come.
The stone has been rolled back and the Totally Digital D60 lives
again!
In its new incarnation the Totally Digital D60 has become
10MP with a single Zoom01 Apr 2007 04:43 GMT18
Would those two systems produce very similar quality images?
Nikon D80 with AF 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX
Canon 400D with EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
The Nikon lack VR, but how helpful is it on a wide zoom?
