Nikon Captures Aquatic Life Thought To Be Extinct!23 Apr 2007 22:41 GMT3
Thank goodness I had the old Nikkor with me today or I would have missed a
once in a lifetime opportunity to record the second only known photograph

Poor exposures from 400 speed negative film23 Apr 2007 03:52 GMT19
I use a lab at a photography chain store near my home in Tokyo.  It's
reasonably priced, and the staff are nice, but I have a couple issues

the lab's, or "that's just the way it is".

The 300dpi Myth Exploded !22 Apr 2007 01:17 GMT31
Just the other day I decided to have one of my Steeplechase photos
printed at poster size (24" x 36").  The local Ritz Camera has an
Epson 7800 which they use for such things so I figured I'd give em a

Hello to all R.P.D, 35mm, and SLR contributors,
Everyone has something to say about this tragedy, but eventually, words
begin to all run together until they lose some of their meaning.  Sometimes
a photo can express a thought or sentiment far more clearly, so this is my

Preserving photos in picture frames - question21 Apr 2007 08:29 GMT11
I read several years ago that some of the protective sleeves used in
photo albums had chemicals that could degrade photos. The article said

There seems to be a little confusion in the minds of some as to what a
photograph (photo)actually is and where the use of Photoshop can result in
an end product that is not a photograph even though photographs may have
been used to create the result.
