Zenit EM questions, and the like17 Mar 2007 06:43 GMT4
So, I recently came by a Zenit EM, and I have a question about it:
While the shutter and mirror return in good order, the aperture
remains closed (to the right diameter) as long as the shutter release
is depressed. Does anyone know if this is a design feature peculiar to

Camera Came17 Mar 2007 01:19 GMT4
Just had ups leave a shot time ago and they came with my Voigtlander
Bessamatic SLR camera. This one the meter is dead, but with my two handheld
meters I'm well in the field of being able to use the camera as I had one
back in the 60's when it was new.

Ultimate Machine Gunner Dumps Nikon for Canon!16 Mar 2007 22:21 GMT91
This guy has got to be the ultimate QA tester for Nikon.  With 410,000 shots
under his belt on a D70 and over 600,000 shots on his D2x and D2h he has got
to be a world champion machine gunner.  It seems his beef with Nikon is he
doesn't think Nikon's AF is fast enough.

Obviously the mandate was not one many people favoured.
I myself had to think deeply about it before deciding to contribute.
Those who did make the effort managed an interesting chapter of the shootin.

Screw technical perfection...

Advice on taking portraits in black and white?16 Mar 2007 03:02 GMT15
I have a new project in school with my photography class and it's to
take portraits of self + 3 others (of other ppl of my choice.)
*boogles*  I'm so afraid of this project, lol.  I only know how to
take the "1, 2, 3, CHEESE!" sort of pictures.  :)
What a waste of talent: DOUG, BRET15 Mar 2007 21:10 GMT40
Both of you need to spend less of your creative energy wasted on this
stuff and shoot more. Shoot. No criticism of one another. No
communication to each other. No communication about each other. No
visits to the others web sites. Shoot, shoot, shoot...be again

I have a Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED with which I
am quite pleased.  The software supplied by
Nikon, however, is another matter.  It is
very cumbersome to use. I have heard that
