How the mighty have fallen...
UV/protection filter recommendations19 Dec 2006 18:15 GMT42
If this is the wrong group, please direct me to the correct one.
I recently bought a second-hand Tamron 200-400mm zoom for my Nikon.
It didn't come with a UV or other filter to physically protect the outer
element.

After last month's discussion of Ricoh SLRs, I just bought an XR2 with
a small zoom, Tristar flash, expired film <g>,  and a nice leather case
for $37.00.
Eventually  I'd like to get a fast Prime , but for now I'd like to

[SI] - Mandate - Wet18 Dec 2006 02:30 GMT5
The new mandate is from Mardon,
Find something that's generally dry and take a photo of it when it's
wet.  Photos of females in wet T-shirts are not allowed because it
would be too easy to get favorable comments from reviewing males even

speaking of bokeh16 Dec 2006 14:59 GMT53

The rains lifted this morning and the day turned out like anything but
a normal Winter day.
Temps in the 60's ... bright sunshine.  Is this December?
The leaves have lost their fall colors, but I made a little pano
