Availability of Nikon SF-210 Slide Scan Feeder in Miami, Florida, USA08 Nov 2006 15:14 GMT1
I'm visitng southern Florida (Orlando/ Miami) next week and I would
like to buy a new Nikon SF-210 slide feeder for a Coolscan LS5000ED
scanner when I'm there, if possible.  Can anyone suggest a photo store
that is likely to stocks this (rare) item?  Thanks for your replies.
Nikon FE Metering.07 Nov 2006 09:03 GMT8
I have looked and seen that the battery test LED isn't a accurate indication
of a good battery.
Has anyone noted that the meter becomes innacurate with a weakening battery?
I was shooting the Nikon loaded with Pan F (50ASA) and a Fed 1 loaded with

A Tale of Two Pentaxes...06 Nov 2006 23:57 GMT32
While at the Javitz show on Thursday I had the opportunity to sample
both the 43/1.9 Limited lens in black (Yum!) and the somewhat rare to
find (or buy) 50mm f/1.4 FA - unfortunately I was only able to test
these on a K10 (DSLR) body (and a K100?) so with the 1.5 crop factor  I
Rollei QB to Nikon F mount06 Nov 2006 19:49 GMT11
I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of a Rollei QB mount to Nikon F
mount adapter (to attach rollei QB lenses to a Nikon F mount camera). Ebay is
full of Rollei QB to Canon EOS mounts but I can't find a Rollei to nikon mount.
A Eos lens to Nikon F camera adapter would be a ...

is it possible to configure the Nikon F80 in aperture priority mode to set
aperture with the command wheel on the back and exposure compensation with the
command wheel on the front (without using the exp. comp. button).
I don't seem to find the custom function to enable it but find ...
Sharpness05 Nov 2006 23:01 GMT10
I have taken this picture with flash and not used long shutter speed.
The camera: Nikon D2x, lens: Sigma 18+50 f2.8.
This is a 100 % portion of the image.
Even this portion is supposed to be the focused area of the picture,
How to remove bends from film04 Nov 2006 21:07 GMT8
I have recently found a roll of processed 35 mm Tri-X.  It is just shy of
50 years old and has been wrapped around a negative holder in such a way as
to have bends in it.  There on cracks or creases and the film is reasonably
flexable and the bends are about what you would expect if ...

>From Bowser - an unwell mind.
A photo of something that fits the following description of fetish: any
object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or
devotion. Something related to this century, of course.

Blasted snipper03 Nov 2006 21:30 GMT37
Oh I hate those ebay snippers. I had a bid on a Topcon Super D that needed
the mirror supports redone. Something I could have done. For almost the
whole time it was listed not one bid, so today I placed a bid, 2 hours to go
got outbid, so I layed another much higher bid onto it, ...

CANONET QL17 GIII03 Nov 2006 09:12 GMT18
I learned about the Canonet QL17 GIII from a very
special friend/teacher, and I am so very grateful
for that. Sadly, I have no contact with him and as
a result cannot learn, or ask technical questions anymore.

AF degradation of Canon EF 35mm f/2 lens03 Nov 2006 00:51 GMT3
I'm running an experiment that employs 3 Canon EOS 20D bodies with
EF 35mm f/2 lenses. I'm running into a problem with the autofocus
accuracy of this combination suddenly dropping while lighting
conditions remain constant according to my light meter. I have 5
