ain't that the truth!  (unless you're shooting digital!)
No film shooters12 Nov 2006 00:56 GMT178
I'm back from a trip to New England and I didn't notice a single
person shooting film. (This may not be exactly true since many
point and shoots look like their digital brothers).
Another thing I noticed is that there were very few people using
Got the Pentax ZX-M - AND A DEAL!11 Nov 2006 19:44 GMT2
So I went to a local photo store here in Austin and all these people
were clamoring around checking out all the DSLRs. I make my way in and
ask if they have the Pentax ZX-M. The guy looked happy. He said "I don't
think we have any left but let me check in back."
Connecting off camera flash to shoe11 Nov 2006 18:13 GMT3
I would like to move my vivitar 2800 flash off my minolta x-700 body,
and was uncertain about which cable to use to connect the flash to the
off-camera shoe.  My flash didn't come with any cables, and I wasn't
sure which of the ones listed in the x-700 manual I should purchase.
Used Nikon FM2 or New Pentax ZX-M?11 Nov 2006 17:58 GMT8
What do you think? Anyone have any experience with ZX-M?
I'd rather spend $400 on a good lens, so...
Nikkormat EL (manual) shutter11 Nov 2006 12:23 GMT6
I've just purchased a Nikkormat EL which seems to work more or less
fine in Auto mode (the meter responds, though I still haven't tested
its accuracy) but whose shutter behaves erratically when in manual
mode. Speeds 1/1000-1/125 seem to work (at least the shutter fires),
Film came out black:  Little lever is culprit11 Nov 2006 04:54 GMT7
A few months ago I received a little automatic point-and-shoot camera
from FreeCycleSeattle (a YahooGroup where folks give away stuff they no
longer need).
To my delight, the camera worked perfectly.  But I was unable to find a
Sigma 105mm lens - possible autofocus problem10 Nov 2006 19:01 GMT3
I just bought the old Sigma 105mm macro lens on Ebay (i.e. not the new
DG version) as it was going cheap (doesn't work with EOS digital, and
I'm still a film luddite). It's generally in good condition, though has
obviously seen some use. But I suspect the focus system may be worn ...

Old soviet cameras review10 Nov 2006 14:26 GMT1
Digital pictures sticked the world VS pictures taken by "Moskva 2" or
"Kiev 88" is the same as "Toyota corolla" VS "Saab" of 40th. As Dima
Bilan VS Vladimir Visotsky, H&M VS marrige dress from grandmother's
trunk. Soviet cameras is a Lo-Fi in the best meaning of this word.
Nikon FM2 and Modern Lenses10 Nov 2006 03:40 GMT5
Hey All,
I am looking at buying a Nikon FM2 and was wondering; Will any new
lenses work with this camera? I am rather confused about the AI lens
mount.
Shooting with motion picture camera lenses?09 Nov 2006 22:09 GMT15
Hey Group,
I came across a lens that is typically designed to be used for motion
picture photography but I was wondering if it could be used for 35mm
still photography.
