Can someone tell me how Nikon marks lenses that are for their digital cameras? While I have a good selection of AF lenses from 95-2000, I have been told that some newer AF lenses are not good in the the 35mm world, and as this is the case how do I distinguish and avoid them?

My 35mm f2.0 canon lens has recently stopped working correctly. It will not auot focus say 50% of the time and will not manual focus if I swithc from af to mf whilst the lens is not working. If I turn my camera off and on again it sometimes corrects the prob. sometimes not (using ...
