Nikon Lens Question17 Oct 2006 03:02 GMT1
Can someone tell me how Nikon marks lenses that are for their digital
cameras? While I have a good selection of AF lenses from 95-2000, I have
been told that some newer  AF lenses are not good in the the 35mm world, and
as this is the case how do I distinguish and avoid them?

{SI] Shoot-In - Fractal Comments16 Oct 2006 16:31 GMT27
One early October Tuesday evening in Newfoundland, Mardon put down
his paintbrush to check the r.p.e.35 newsgroup. (His wife kept
painting.)  Lo and behold, the SI fractal submissions were on
display in their full glory, even before the submission deadline

Slide projector as a substitute for a painting...14 Oct 2006 21:42 GMT17
I need some advice.  We have a large, double-height wall and we're
looking at alternatives to simply hanging a painting or other picture
in the space.  One option we're looking at is to buy a slide projector
and project an image onto the wall.  To do this, I've got a couple

SHROOMS LOVE THE TOTALLY DIGITAL D60!12 Oct 2006 08:32 GMT1
Sometimes you have to travel long and far to find something worthy to
photograph.  Other times the photo comes to you.  Found this in the
front yard right outside my garage when I got home today.

[SI] Why not?12 Oct 2006 02:11 GMT3
I am still perplexed why the SI isn't propagated to rec.photo.digital.
Is there really a barrier, or is it inertia?
