what lens for elan7?07 Sep 2006 09:27 GMT6
Hi, I picked up a used Elan7 on ebay for $100.  Good deal?  The seller
had a 100% positive rating and hundreds of transactions.

Perhaps someone else has experienced a similar problem I've encountered
with a compact flash card.
I've often used an e-Film Pr0 Delkin Compact Flash 640mb card. I've
never encountered a problem when using this device. Then suddenly,

digital controls similar to 35mm?04 Sep 2006 14:52 GMT4
I'm fairly decided on getting a 35mm camera and traditional
slide projector.  I'm still fairly unsteady with my knowledge of manual
controls.  My digital camera has them, too, though I have not used
them.

Got handed a 30D today and was told to go take photos with it - can't
complain about that. It was great to be able to get out and use a camera
for the first time in weeks - and a high end camera at that, and
actually get paid for the privilege!

only two labs left.

Does anyone know the range of extension of the (now old) Vivitar macro
focusing 2x teleconverter?
That's the teleconverter with the built-in variable extension tube--the
focusing ring has the notation 50mm at one extreme, but all the other
Flawed lenses make for bad focus?03 Sep 2006 22:57 GMT9
I inherited a Canon A-1 from my grandfather along with three lenses.
One is a 50mm F1.8 Canon that I had cleaned by the manufacturer when I
had the camera overhauled.  The other two are brands I'm not familiar
with, one 135mm and one 21mm.  The two off-brand lenses I cleaned as
