"Drive bys" - Dewitt Jones article...21 Sep 2006 23:36 GMT1
Anyone else read Dewitt Jones' article in the September 2006 issue of
Outdoor Photographer?
It's about purposely taking blurry pictures while driving, walking,
etc.  I don't think I could get as excited about it as he does, but it

Tony Polson - One Sick Mother!21 Sep 2006 14:14 GMT7
You crazy SOB!
Now you claim to be a Leica expert!
The guy that shoots "50 rolls of film in a single session," and can't find a single keeper in the entire bunch!
Let's see those pix of the choo-choo trains again--the ones you shot on an Instamatic . . .

Dying FT2 -- Cost?19 Sep 2006 16:11 GMT12
I've been having some shutter problems with my Nikon FT2 and I brought
it to the only local shop with an in-house guy last week.  I guess the
shutter windings need to be replaced and the estimate is $250.
Is this pretty average?
CVS Pharmacy One-Hour Processing18 Sep 2006 19:50 GMT7
I needed a couple of quick & dirty 4 x 6 prints, so I copied the images over
to a CD-RW and went to a Kodak Kiosk at CVS Pharmacy.  They had a one-hour
processing facility there, and I got a look at the equipment, which was made
by Fujitsu.  There was a roll of film that had just ...
Nikon 24-120 G, ED, VR, Zoom - opinions?18 Sep 2006 04:40 GMT8
I just ordered a Nikon F100 and I'm looking for wideangle/moderate telephoto
zoom!  I've read some reviews on this particular lens, but I would rather

what to buy, the reviews I've read say that it's a ...

Sunpak 444D dedicated module17 Sep 2006 04:05 GMT3
I have a Sunpak 444D with the OT-1D module which works very
nicely with my Oly OM-2n. I'd like to get a PT-2D (or PT-1D)
Pentax module to use with my new ZX-5. Now this may sound very
stupid, but I cannot yank out the OT-1D module! I tried hard,
My dream camera17 Sep 2006 02:10 GMT8
1.  The size and weight of my old Olympus OM2n
2.  The Matrix metering and auto-focusing of my Nikon F4
3.  The optics of my Rollei Zeiss 2.8 Planar TLR
I can dream can't I?  :-)
Kodak Hi-def 400 film question16 Sep 2006 15:09 GMT6
How good is this film? How does the grain compare with
regular 200 speed film? I want to use it to take photos
of indoor events (get-together, etc.). I don't intend to
take natural light photos, but use just the built-in flash of
