I have noticed that the colour I view on a lot of my transparencies is not
quite the same in the scans - mostly I think there is a loss in the red -
this causes most notably lilacs/purples to scan as blues. The films I use
are Fuji Provia 400F and Fuji Velvia 50. Yes I can tweak ...

I found an Olympus XA at a garage sale. It appears to work perfectly
and the lens looks clean as a whistle. Only issues that I can see are
that the lightproofing strips inside the camera back are
disintegrating, and the f-stop lever is very sticky and hard to adjust.

What's really bugging me is that I don't know what this thing is.
Some sort of tiny beetle or a mite, I would guess.

It's not every day your get to see your latest grandson an hour after birth
but I did the night before last.
A few happy snaps in the hospital and a couple this morning after mum had a
good nights rest. God, they're ugly creatures - babies I mean.

Haven't seen too many hot reviews for this lens. Is it a dog? I am
thinking of getting a used version for my F100, but having read Thom
Hogan's review, I wonder if I would be better off getting the 24-85mm
AF-S.

I am chasing my tail trying to score one on eBay and wonder if anyone out
there has one or knows of one.
The f3.5 prob suits my price range best, but an f2 would be seriously
considered.

I just purchased a used Canon FTb and I am having a problem with the
aperture reading. When I turn the aperture ring the aperture
needle/ring visable in the viewfinder does not move making it
impossible to match the needles. Can anyone offer advice?
