Leaving ashutter open06 Apr 2006 08:54 GMT8
Hi! I have used very few camera's in my life. But i saw some incredible
slides (not digital) on a slide show presentation. The slide depicted
the movement of the stars over a period of twenty minutes. It was
suposedly done by leaving the shutter on a camera open. Hows that work?
[SI] Convergence - Mardon's Comments06 Apr 2006 07:48 GMT14
As some of you may know, this is only my 3rd time submitting an
entry to the SI and my 2nd time as a 'reviewer'.  In addition, I'm
only a photo hobbyist, so please take everything I say with a grain
of salt.

Carl Zeiss on the Future of Film05 Apr 2006 18:40 GMT24
How about the Future of Film?
Since Carl Zeiss introduced the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder camera system - a 35
mm film camera - we keep receiving questions about our belief in the future
of film.
Frames don't have straight edges.05 Apr 2006 16:40 GMT14
When I look at individual frames on negatives from some cameras, they
don't have straight edges.  They have one or two tabs on the side.
What's that all about?
Olympus Trip 3504 Apr 2006 14:02 GMT14
My Dad just gave me is very old Olympus Trip 35 and had some left over
film, so I'm going to give it a try. I've only ever used digital before
and even then I don't have much experience. Any tips strictly related
to film? Or even better anything related to the Olympus Trip 35?

A nice documentary shot of a somewhat mature motorcycle handlebar.  Nice
a and sharp at the center of attention.  Balanced composition.  Doesn't
[SI] Not Quite Obsolete - Mardon's Comments04 Apr 2006 03:54 GMT12
OK.  I'm a bit late with my comments on the "Not Quite Obsolete"
submissions because I wasn't going to submit any.  I've only
participated in the SI twice and I felt that it might be a bit
presumptuous of me, as a total newcomer, to critique the work of

Does it really make a difference in your pictures if you use high
definition film over regular 400 speed film?
Need a user/owner manual for Nikon One Touch Zoom 90!!!!04 Apr 2006 03:13 GMT6
I've spent over an hour on the Nikon web site attempting to find a
NIKON ONE TOUCH ZOOM 90 owner/user manual. I can't even find a
reference to this camera. Where can I download this manual?
I tried sending an email to them requesting this, I think sending a man

Anyone knows about the Agfa Optima Sensor?03 Apr 2006 21:13 GMT3
This camera is gorgeous. I particularly love the huge viewfinder and
its positioning on the side.

What is a low-key image?
I was reading an article on exposure and it
mentioned a low key image but did not state
what it was.
Centre filters on 35mm lens03 Apr 2006 14:20 GMT4
Has anybody tried using centre filters on regular
35mm SLR lens to achieve a more even light fall-off?
