Books on lighting10 Apr 2006 08:01 GMT1
I am looking for publications on lighting techniques for the
wedding/location photographer. I know there are a lot out there but wanted
some feedback before I buy. Recommendations would be appreciated.

Lens whining... Canon 24-105 f4L10 Apr 2006 05:43 GMT13
Recently bought the Canon 24-105 f4L IS... and I'm not sure I like it.
Now, to be fair, I haven't had a chance to do any real serious shots
with it yet, so I can't judge it according to image quality just yet.
It's the "feel" that has been bugging me when I do use it.  First is

Backlit - yep, I can do it too09 Apr 2006 23:32 GMT46
My old 20D with a Sigma 100 to 300 f/4.0 lens. Won't be too many more
pics from me taken with Sigma lenses. I don't sell 'em anymore!
Just goes to show that you really don't need double the price Canon
glass to get good pictures.

millimetres) one for me please?
Niel.
Tilt-Shift Lens: Any Experiences?09 Apr 2006 18:59 GMT48
I rented the Canon 24mm TS-E tilt-shift lens for a week and before it
arrives I'd like to know if there are any tips or suggestions for using
this lens?  Any subject matter that lends itself especially well to
it's features? Also, the lens may not come with instructions on it's
amateur question: 800 speed & flash07 Apr 2006 19:05 GMT5
I bought a Canon SureShot 150, which I know wasn't so wise, but I can't
deal with SLRs or any other cameras requiring a learning curve :^) I'm
strictly a "tourist" photographer and needed a long lens for a trip to
Russia, including those long Volga shots. I bought Fuji Press 800
Problems with Adorama?07 Apr 2006 17:23 GMT16
I just got in a package yesterday from Adorama.  Normally I thought
they were a good shop.
But the packing was pathetic and the lens barely survived the trip.
What does you think of Adorama?

Sigma Flash D200 Upgrade07 Apr 2006 02:32 GMT7
Just a quick note to let you know, that if you have a Sigma Ef500 DG flash
that isn't working on your D200, Sigma is doing speedy, free upgrades.
I sent mine in, & got it back in only a couple of weeks.  It works just fine
on my D200, now.
OK, so what's the UGLIEST camera?06 Apr 2006 20:27 GMT17
Not trying to start an Ugly Baby competition, as
everyone has a mother who will be upset...
I suggest

Nikon FH-869G MF film holder...06 Apr 2006 18:00 GMT4
...is now, finally, in stock at B&H.  For those who are interested.  If
B&H has it, I'm sure other places like Adorama does, too.
Flash Slideshow Presentation06 Apr 2006 16:36 GMT13
For you golf fans:
Here's a little slideshow presentation I put together (in Flash format)
to get everybody stoked for the upcoming Masters Tournament.  It's a
big file so you'll need a fast browser, and it may take a few seconds
How is Agfa pronounced?06 Apr 2006 15:31 GMT23
How is Agfa pronounced?  I've always thought it was pronounced withe the
A's as in "machine", but then I'd heard one person spell it out, and I've
often seen it spelled AGFA, so now I don't know.
