Sick of the crap on the group? Use NewsProxy (now called nfilter, I believe) to filter out messages cross posted to specific groups (like astronomy and a few others), and the problem is solved. http://www.nfilter.org/

I was looking into buy a non-digital SLR camera for my wife. She's an amateur photographer, we have a 5.0 Digital (Minolta DiMage 7hi) that we bought 3 years ago but she's been talking about getting a film camera.

Greetings from Idaho. New poster here. I am not a Pro shooter, but rather work elsewhere. I try to sell the odd photo but mostly it's a hobby. I am a film shooter who still shoots FD Canon euipment but it is a personal choice.

I have a Minolta Dimage 35mm film scanner and I end up having to do a lot of work in Photoshop to remove the dust specs. Without building a clean room of sorts, does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the amount of dust on my shots?

To satisfy my lust for the good glass that I'll never be able to afford, I've started renting some of the great Canon lenses. Last week I had the 24mm TS-E tilt-shift lens, which is more of a specialty lens and probably isn't for me.
