I have got a secondhand Nikon FM2n for christmas and want to know if
this is a good camera for starting a photographic hobby or shall I swap
it for something more suitable? and if so, what would be more suitable,

The "F" is supposedly better built and more easily serviceable. The
ST801 is supposed to have a brighter viewfinder and LED meter that is
usable in the night. What other pros and cons to each of the cameras?

I see in the instruction manual for my Canon ef 70-300 is usm lens that
the Canon 1.4 and 2.0 range extenders don't work with this lens and I
wondered if anyone knows of a third party manufacturer who makes a
suitable extender ?  Also out of curiosity,  can anyone tell me what

Broke down and bought the new Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM.  My last
purchase of 2005.  Ok, that's it for awhile.  There are no more lenses
that I want or need.
