8x12's on Epson R800?07 Dec 2005 21:33 GMT2
I imagine that you need to use the roll film option for an 8 x 12 print?
I'm still shooting film and scanning it, and plant to get an archival
printer.  I'm considering limiting myself to moderate sized prints and
picking up an Epson r800.
(SI) comments from Bob F.07 Dec 2005 15:35 GMT3
Here is my little opinion... no offence to anyone!
Tom Hudson - Good but I didn't like the background clutter, and I thought the
out of focus parts were maybe too large.
Michael Hoffman - I would have posted this if I could! I took a very similar pic
Black & white filter selections07 Dec 2005 02:28 GMT3
I foolishly thought I could Google this quickly and find a reference
page, but after a Googling attempt at:

Metz 45 CL-1 Flash question07 Dec 2005 00:30 GMT14
Gentlemen,
I've bought a Metz SCA 3701 adapter (Pentax).
I also bought a Metz 45 CL-1.
I was of the understanding that the CL-1 would not work with TTL but now I'm
Camera shops in Sydney, Australia?06 Dec 2005 10:55 GMT1
I'm going to Sydney (from the UK) for a month soon and need a circular
polariser. Does anyone know of shops in Sydney where I might get one? Also,
any idea of prices. I need one with an 82mm thread.
TIA
Canon 630 will not fire flash05 Dec 2005 22:34 GMT2
My trusty 630 will not trip the speedlite 430ez.  I know the flash
works, it prefires for bounce flash, and fires when manually triggered
(shorting center pin to shoe-ground). My 630 had a gummy shutter
problem and I cleaned up the gunk as suggested around the net.  Any
RECOMMENDED FILM RETRIEVER ?05 Dec 2005 21:15 GMT18
I have a Konica film retriever - no written instructions and the 'guide
by symbols'on the retriever irself is useless: I just can't get it to
work!
I'll be grateful if someone can recommend a retriever that's easy to
Nikon AF-S 24-120 VR stiff zoom ring05 Dec 2005 17:52 GMT4
My newly acquired AF-S 24-120 VR is slightly disappointing in that the
zoom ring is rather stiff and jerky. It's not terrible but it does
mean that I find I'm holding the camera differently to compensate. The
manual focus is slightly stiff too.
Binder for 12x18 prints?05 Dec 2005 17:37 GMT2
I'm looking for a way to store 12x18 prints in such a way that they are
easily viewed - something like a D-ring binder or binder box perhaps.
I've googled for something w/o too much success. Anybody know of a
source for something like this?

Why full-frame?05 Dec 2005 08:44 GMT72
A lot of people here seem concerned whether a digital camera has a
full-frame sensor or not.  But why is that important, and what's special
about 35mm such that people aren't dreaming of, say, a 50mm sensor?  The
sensor could be any size (barring technological problems) as long ...
"Film is dead"? Check the facts.05 Dec 2005 05:52 GMT67
For the many people who say that film is dead, there are as many who
deny that this is the case. But the arguments for either side don't deal
with much in the way of facts, usually just hearsay. I had to believe there
was more out there, so I did some research, and here's ...
Film resolution05 Dec 2005 04:44 GMT85
No, this is not a thread about how much resolution is in a frame of
film, but rather about a resolution I am making to shoot more of it in
the new year. Maybe a roll every week.
After exactly four years of shooting digital I can say in all honestly
Minolta AF lens without the "Maxxum" word05 Dec 2005 04:21 GMT5
I have a Minolta Auto Focus 70-210mm f/4 old style macro lens.  The odd
thing about it is that it does not have the word Maxxum anywhere on the
lens,  unlike most of its peers.
I wonder if this could be a relic from the "crossed X" battle.  Maybe

Comments and feelings will probably be appreciated if shared.
