irritable, and somewhat pianissimo, so he asked me to post the new mandate
for him, and that is:
5D Canon is a noisey camera16 Dec 2005 22:04 GMT21
Who said the 5D from Canon was a low noise camera?
Certainly when you combine moderately high (for a Canon DSLR) ISO 800

This past weekend I stayed at a private game reserve here in Kwa-Zulu
Natal and of course a bag full of Nikons came with.
I have a new respect for nature photographers, because this is a very
difficult field to get good shots in. Unfortunately most of mine suck,
Developing film twice.15 Dec 2005 22:10 GMT18
The local one-hour photo labs have very little ability to do special
requests like pushing film.  And surely for good reason.  But what would
happen if they just ran it through the developer machine twice?  As I
recall, at some point it goes through a fixer bath that, well, fixes ...
Best CS Feature You've Never Heard About15 Dec 2005 20:52 GMT5
I went to a Photoshop Seminar yesterday given by Katrin Eismann.
As is the norm for most of these things, she covered a wealth of
information and it all comes at you rather quickly.  She covered her
specialties, Layers, Masking, Compositing, etc., as well as some of the

I am in two minds about continuing with my film camera.  I have a Canon
EOS66 SLR camera, with very normal 28-80, 80-200 and a 50mm lens
collection.  I wanted to specialize in some area of photography and
finally I choose macro(because I do not travel much and I am a

What will the Nikon D300 be like?13 Dec 2005 04:13 GMT69

105mm lens and Body13 Dec 2005 02:40 GMT8
Recently I purchesed a Kiev 19 camera with 50mm and 105mm F:2.8 lens.
I ran a test roll thru it and my god is that Ukrainian 105mm sharp!  I
put the camera in my collection but the lens is not a collectors item
yet and I'd like to find a cheap Nikon body with AI mount to use it
Can you recommend a lens for small product shots?13 Dec 2005 02:12 GMT10

small electronic appliances...
I need to shoot objects sized from maybe 5 inch's up to 20 inch's on a side.
I plan to set up a light tent on a table...
