| Self-imposed restrictions? | 11 Oct 2005 01:10 GMT | 29 |
Do any of you ever purposely restrict yourselves in any way for any reason? For example, I read one guy posting a couple years ago that he'll occasionally take only one camera body, type of film, and prime lens on

| Minolta SRT201: Battery, Meter, Issues? | 10 Oct 2005 23:40 GMT | 3 |
I recently inherited a Minolta SRT201. I've got the mechanics figured out after misloading the first roll of film, but... 1. Where can I find a replacement battery for the meter? 2. Is the meter likely to be accurate after 20 some odd years?

Yesterday I pulled out my Elan IIe, and found that the LCD screen showed nothing. I turned knobs and pushed buttons, and found that pushing the shutter while the camera was in "green box" mode showed me the full LCD display for a fraction of a second, including a

| Market shares for 35mm SLR pro or semi-pro | 09 Oct 2005 04:43 GMT | 81 |
Please excuse my ignorance, but one of my friends recently told me that Nikon is pretty much the only brand pro or semi-pros use. However, I got a totally different picture while googling about the fact: 1. Sony - 21.5% market share (trending down) - 1.73 million cameras

| question about exposure | 08 Oct 2005 23:22 GMT | 20 |
I am pretty much an ameteur. Okay, I'm a major ameteur. Anyhow, I was reading about setting ASA/ISO film speeds, and I don't understand why, if you set it incorrectly (for example, set a 200 speed film incorrectly as 400), you can't just have it developed at as a different

My Minolta XD-11 is experiencing shutter speed problems at the higher speeds and since I don't have the knowledge to go into an electronic camera, I need a good repair facility with fast turnaround and fair prices.
