Nikon D7019 Oct 2005 02:32 GMT16
The other night while watching CSI it appeared to me that the camera
they were using was the Nikon D70. Any confirmation or denials?
(Note: I am not a digital user yet, only gathering information for a
future purchase.)
Young child photography19 Oct 2005 00:16 GMT35
Never again!
My plodding ways are not compatible with energetic 2 yr olds who don't
seem to grasp that they have to stay where wanted.
My esteem for child photographers has just gone up a great deal!
Pointers for photographing a crew regatta18 Oct 2005 23:03 GMT7
I'm going to my daughter's first regatta in Philadelphia this weekend and am
looking for some pointers.  I plan to shoot using my trusty old Chinon and,
probably Kodak 400VC (I prefer Kodak as I get generally better scanning
results but am not wedded to VC).  I was going to bring ...
17-40 mm vs 24-105 IS18 Oct 2005 16:39 GMT5
I'm in the market to get some wide to normal coverage to complement a 70-200
IS and 100 USM macro, and would like to keep things simple.
Prior to the recent release of the 24-105, I was leaning toward the 17-40.
Now, however, you can get the 24-40 portion of that lens and have IS ...

Lens Fungus (Fungi?)17 Oct 2005 14:21 GMT2
I have a Canon EF 75-300 1:4-5.6 USM zoom. Apparently from I can see, it
has fungus on 3 level(?) or I guess lenses. Can it be repaired/cleaned and
is it worth it?  Thanks

black side border??17 Oct 2005 05:38 GMT5
I was given a vintage Fujica ST-801 years ago and never used it
because our pictures developed a bit oddly.  We found the left 1/3 of
the picture completely black while the other side turned out fine and
in colour.  Would anyone know why or how this happens?  and how it can
[SI] Too long, or not long enough?16 Oct 2005 22:32 GMT6
Good gravy, I've returned to making commentary! And thus the header -
it's certainly the former for me, since I should do this a lot more often,
but I expect to hear votes for the latter...
Anyway, these be just me opinions, hokay? Certainly not worth taking
Lens mounts16 Oct 2005 11:53 GMT1
Hello people,
I recently bought a camera on eBay which came with two additional
lenses. The camera is x-fujinon mount - the lenses are...not. Some
other kind of bayonet fitting - so I can see how the seller was
[SI] Very Disappointed16 Oct 2005 06:13 GMT24
Not in the quality of the pix, but in the fact that none of us opted for the
obvious cliché shots, like a headstone or a cheerleader's a.s. I knew I
should have used the cemetery shot. I did have hope that Annika would have
provided at least one cheerleader a.s shot.
ANNI GOES PRO !!!16 Oct 2005 03:36 GMT33
I have been talked (begged) into shooting some photos for two different
friends of mine in the upcoming weeks.  And the scary thing is, I might
even get paid!  That puts the pressure on.
One of them is a birthday bash for my friend who is turning 95. That

Here's a question for any Olympus OM-series camera lovers out there:
Do you:
