I bought a second hand Pentax MX knowing that it had a couple of
problems that are:
In the viewfinder I was supposed to be able to see at what aperture the
lens is, but somehow I can't.

Canon F-series mirror compatibility21 Oct 2005 22:38 GMT7
I took apart my old Canon EF which had mirror return issues. It turned
out that one of the mirror's hinges and the little spring that keeps
the mirro down are broken and need to be replaced.
Do some or all f-series bodies (f-1, ftb etc.) by any chance have same
Bargain Priced Film Cameras21 Oct 2005 20:32 GMT30
With the dramatic fall in value of film cameras as users switch to
digital, there are some amazing bargains to be had on Ebay. I very
recently bought a Nikon F601 with 35-80mm lens in true mint condition
for £55 - or about $99.
More 1st hand news about Agfa Photo terminating soon.21 Oct 2005 18:13 GMT1
This news was also brought up by dPreview, but their link went
into some sort of URL forwarder and never went to the DW.
This is the German news in English translation. The ill fated
attempt to run a film business, separate from the remaining
Tele Takumar 200mm f5.621 Oct 2005 07:38 GMT3
I am considering a 200mm telephoto for my Spotmatic
but with the high price of the 200mm f4 I'm wondering
if there is that much difference in sharpness and contrast
between it and the Tele-Tak 200/5.6. I can't seem to find
Can C-mount lens be adapted in some way to a 35mm camera?21 Oct 2005 01:19 GMT4
Well, enough said in the subject. I thought maybe I could use the lens on a
videocamera, but anyway....

Film Compact Vs Digital Compact.20 Oct 2005 18:58 GMT12
I sick of seeing all these film Vs Digital pages on the net comparing
film and digital SLRs. For a start no matter what result they get
(either in favour of film or digital) its nearly always inacurate since
they are comparing the images rather than prints and the film images

Contessa LKE (and a mistery)19 Oct 2005 21:54 GMT2
I have  a Zeiss Contessa LKE with a dead lightmeter, can someone give me
directions on how to open the camera, check the wirings and so on?
Then, a little mistery. I have the original case (or so I suppose...) which
shows on the bottom, with the usual screw to ensure the camera to ...

What Color Negative Film in Italy?19 Oct 2005 08:09 GMT14
I'm going to Italy for a vacation and will take both digital and film
cameras.  If I run out of film -- a distinct possibility since it's my first
trip and the view on the film camera is wider than on the digital for the
same lens -- I'll have to buy some there.  What brands of ...
