DIY AI conversions19 Sep 2005 21:24 GMT4
I have just been reading up on some of the AI conversion websites and I
was wondering if it wouldn't be easier to swap out aperture rings from
older MF lenses with rings from "retired" newer lenses?
For example, I just picked up a mint 50mm f/1.4 non-AI lens and instead
Nikon, Where Are You19 Sep 2005 03:07 GMT62
I am very heavily (and I do mean heavy, 5 camera bodies, 9 lenses +
accessories)invested in Nikon film bodies and lenses. I would like to
transition to digital but their camera body selection is so limited.
Except for the D2X at five grand with a small sensor, everything they

N70 Case - Lens Compatibility18 Sep 2005 19:26 GMT2
I just purchased a Nikon N70 to use as a backup to my F4, it'll be a
take-anywhere, throw in the car on the way to the grocery store kind of
camera.  I ordered a CF-51 case for it and I'm wondering which lenses will
fit, I'm thinking of getting a Nikkor 85mm F1.8, does anyone ...

Advice Please!18 Sep 2005 14:27 GMT4
I have the following camera which is pretty much brand new (with boxes)
and rarely used. I am wanting to sell it to buy a digital one but do
not have a clue how much I could expect for it. Any rough ideas on
price and good places to sell to would be appreciated.
exposure in camera vs video18 Sep 2005 07:23 GMT1
Have been fighting the lighting at local high school football games.
Last night, was in a very small toiwn with such horrible lighting that
I didn't even bother.
I noticed the guy in front of me had a newer looking video camera.
FF sensor because of the 35mm nostalgia?17 Sep 2005 19:32 GMT27
35mm became a standard format long time ago. It wasn't the best format
but it became the worldwide standard for most photography. While the
pros needed more, the medium and the large format, the infrastructures
to support 35mm grew bigger and bigger.
Mysterious Seeping Tree Blob?17 Sep 2005 19:06 GMT41
What the heck?
I found this little white blob on a sunny, dry day in the Olympic Forest.
No rain...nothing else was damp, and yet this thing sat there right before
my eyes...drip...drip...dripping.
Nikon F10017 Sep 2005 14:35 GMT6
I checked the specs for this body on Nikon's web site and in the lens
compatibility section, the newer 'G' lenses aren't specifically mentioned,
does this camera fully support 'G' lenses and all of their features?
Thanks all!

[SI] Comments on Photojournalisn16 Sep 2005 03:26 GMT31
OK, my turn to trash this period's entries. The theme was Photojournalism;
photo(s) that tell a story with a little narrative. Take my comments with a
huge grain of salt, as usual.
