| Legal Photoshop? | 29 Sep 2005 01:31 GMT | 76 |
Am considering upgrading from Photoshop Elements 2 to full-blown Photoshop CS2. It's alot of money, so of course I'm searching for a decent price. I once bought a legal and unopened copy of Adobe Audition for a very readonable price on eBay so I looked there.

| Disassembling a Nikon 70-210 push-pull zoom lens | 28 Sep 2005 21:29 GMT | 3 |
I recently acquired an older, used Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6 zoom lens (non-D) that has a significant amount of grit behind the front glass, enough to soften the images versus a clean sample I compared it to. I have read many posts here about cleaning lenses that could be

| switching (mostly) to digital | 28 Sep 2005 21:04 GMT | 46 |
After years of yearning for a darkroom and wrestling with my old daylab (back in the days of agfachrome speed paper) I finally have a house big enough to have the darkroom I always wanted. Alas though, it seems that for my needs at least, this may be an exersize in futility with ...

| Best Prints - Digital From Scanned Negatives? | 28 Sep 2005 15:33 GMT | 5 |
I have scanned a number of my 35 plus year old 35mm colour negatives and slides and have been very impressed with the quality of prints obtained, after uploading the images to a digital printing lab. The camera used at that time was a Nikkormat FT SLR with a 50mm f2

| Macro lighting question | 28 Sep 2005 15:11 GMT | 4 |
I recently brought out my macro stand from storage and am planning on doing some macro work with it. However the photo bulbs are somewhat difficult to find and I was wondering how well the screw-in 20w 2700k soft white fluorescent bulbs would work.

| Leica M Film Loading Confirmation | 28 Sep 2005 14:34 GMT | 6 |
I was recently fortunate enough to acquire a freshly-serviced Leica M4 in decent user condition. I loaded a practice roll of film and, on the face of things, it seems easy enough to do. However, I noticed that the rewind crank does not move when the film is advanced; I'm fairly

| Quality of Qualex/Kodak for Fuji Film? | 27 Sep 2005 21:21 GMT | 3 |
Can anybody post their experience with Qualex/Kodak E-6 development for Fuji film; in particular Sensia, Provia and Astia? I have several mailers for Fuji and A&I, but I have recently found that my local Costco sends out to Qualex for a decent price with 4-5 day turn around.

| What SLR for M42 beauties? | 27 Sep 2005 17:44 GMT | 33 |
I own 4 beautiful Super Takumar lenses one being a Super-Multi-Coated lens (28/3.5) I have a Spotmatic and ME Super with m42 adapter but HATE the stopped down metering. There HAS to be a camera out there that will let me use my lenses with open aperture metering other than a

| I hate photographing people... | 27 Sep 2005 13:54 GMT | 7 |
...but the teenage son's Homecoming Dance is this weekend, and I'm going to corner him for some pics, and I want to get some nice ones. People, btw, is a weak area for me, technique-wise, so I'm in need of a little advice.

| Anyone else have proplems with Sigma 14mm Nikon AF-D? | 27 Sep 2005 13:46 GMT | 2 |
Lens (bought used on eBay and working when I got it a few months ago) failed recently. Neither my D70 or either of my N90's would acknowledge that the lens was a CPU-lens. Took it to Strauss PhotoTech [fortunately a local place for me] and was told that (a) the "rear lens mount ...
