| List of third-party lenses for Nikon? | 12 Aug 2005 07:55 GMT | 23 |
I have a Nikon FE2, and I'm looking for a high-speed lens for available light photography. I'd love to see a compiled list of third party lenses for nikons, but haven't been able to find any on the web. Is there such a list anywhere? Such lists exist for Nikkors.

| Good bye- too much OT and rants | 11 Aug 2005 20:24 GMT | 27 |
With the tremendous amount of cross posting between rpe35 and rpd, it seems the two groups are redundant. I shoot both digital and 35, so have long subscribed to both. Now, rpd certainly has a high enough OT content, but THIS group has gotten ridiculous lately. I guess I'll

| Setting focus point in crop with Scan Elite 5400, how? | 11 Aug 2005 08:46 GMT | 1 |
I'm trying VueScan (8.2.30) with my ScanElite 5400. The focus-point doesn't move even when scanning an area that doesn't include the pulsating focus point. Is this a bug in usage, scanner or software?

| Problem with Olympus OM-1 | 11 Aug 2005 01:51 GMT | 5 |
I got from a friend an Olympus OM-1. When I look through the viewfinder I can see, in two places, something resembling pieces of black fabric sticking out. It obstructs only a very small portion of viewfinder so it does not affect composing a shot.

| Pick the Nikon lens | 09 Aug 2005 21:03 GMT | 3 |
A photo I took with my D70 in Paris recently: http://www.gregsalter.ca/photogallery/20050709_paris/25%20Eiffel%20Tower%207.jpg There's a clue in the photo as to which lens the photo was taken with. Pick the lens, and win the admiration of your peers (or, most likely, the

| Freestyle admits Arista = Ilford | 09 Aug 2005 18:07 GMT | 2 |
I received an interesting email from Freestyle today; they state outright that their Arista line of films and papers is made by Ilford, and identical to the current Ilford line. They appear to be selling off the last of the Arista branded stuff; it

| [SI] Sinister - Owamanga's Comments. | 09 Aug 2005 16:57 GMT | 11 |
http://www.pbase.com/shootin/sinister Doug Payne: A little pussy cat made to look sinister. Great choice of subject. However, it looks like an extreme crop. Some digital noise on the wire.

| Tripod Mount for 80-200 | 09 Aug 2005 00:18 GMT | 1 |
Hope someone can steer me to the right place or may even have this item. I've an older 80-200 D ED Nikkor with the Kirk tripod bracket that I used with my 90s, have added a D70 to my gear and find that I cannot use this lens & bracket with this camera. I recall a 3rd party ...

| Landscapes at f/4 | 08 Aug 2005 16:36 GMT | 6 |
I've been playing with the 45/2.8 P and shot for a few hour hike yesterday almost all at f/4 because wide open it's a bit extreme & the bokeh not as nice, f/4 is still plenty shallow DOF to experiment. For many of the wider landscape shots the narrow DOF just looks like a

| D70: Remote Control Via USB Port? | 08 Aug 2005 16:34 GMT | 1 |
This is strictly idle curiosity. Seems like when I had my 990, somebody had written a utility that could control the camera via it's USB port. Anybody heard of something similar for the D70?
