| Slide film processed as negative! | 20 Aug 2005 05:21 GMT | 45 |
This is in the nature of an SOS. My daughter has just completed a holiday through Alaska and Canada, and on getting back to her home in Hong Kong, handed in her Fuji slide films to the local frontier outfit for processing. The stupid bloody idiots

| a single shot from England | 20 Aug 2005 02:40 GMT | 7 |
The trip didn't turn into the photo adventure I'd hoped it would, and additionally the shutter in my RB67 65mm lens gave up the ghost without informing me. I concentrated most of my "serious" shooting with that system and that lens in particular. Not a single image came out. I ...

| Mirror sticking (lens problem???) | 19 Aug 2005 19:05 GMT | 1 |
I have searched through the forum, but I don't think the problem is covered by the answers I've seen. I have an old Vivitar v2000 camera body with a 50mm and a 70-210mm lens bought as a kit in 1989. It's not been used for about 8 years. The

| Contrast of a print | 19 Aug 2005 09:13 GMT | 6 |
This topic spans the gap between digital and film. Over the past 20 or so years there has been a gradual increase in the contrast of photographs. For some subjects this is beneficial, for some not. I have always preferred 'flat' or low contrast portraits. Kodak Portra

| Which scanner? | 18 Aug 2005 18:58 GMT | 9 |
I'm still looking for a decent film scanner, but there are very few local suppliers who keep this sort of thing on hand, so I guess I am going to be importing from B&H (in about a month or two's time). I am looking at two models, the Nikon Coolscan V ED which retails there

| Leica IIIf shutter's curtain has cracks but works fine - shall I replace it? | 18 Aug 2005 14:38 GMT | 4 |
Hello, I have bought a post-war Leica IIIf on eBay. It is in mint condition and looks like it has not been used for 40 years but I have noticed some small cracks on the very inner part of the shutter curtain, which are visible only when the shutter is rewinded. All

| FOURSOMES LOVE THE 20D !!! | 18 Aug 2005 10:46 GMT | 20 |
When it's too hot to play golf, just take your foursome to the lake! It was 100° when I left work this afternoon so I went up on the mountain to cool off and take some pics. I didn't stay long since it was still about 95° up there.

| Canon Sure Shot A1 | 17 Aug 2005 23:47 GMT | 1 |
I've just bought it on ebay without a manual. Does anyone know how to take underwater pictures with this one. There is a fish sign on the dial, but when I try to turn the dial to the fish it doesn't want to stay there.
