all audio and video tapes are the same size, but come in different time
length.  a 90min tape is thinner than a 60min, and 120min is thinner
than 90min; therefore, the longer a tape is, the thinner it is, the
worse the sound.

Recently, I used non pro film (4 pack of Kodak 100 speed negative film)
cheap one hour processing at Wallgreens...no prints, just CDs.  The look
of the film on the CD turned out kind of grainy looking even though I

I'm trying to learn how the circle focusing disc in the middle of
viewfinders of older cameras works as I want to make a larger area one
for a different application. I gather it is a grid of microprisms on
the ground glass viewfinding screen. Questions are:

There are a bunch of Nikkor 105mm Macro (Yeah, Nikon calls them "Micro")
lenses out there which just say "AF" on the barrel and others which say
"AF-D".  What will a -D lens do that the AF won't?
