Is there a PDF manual somewhere I can download?
Else I would like to know how to use the SB80DX as a wireless flash.

20D evaluation so far22 Aug 2005 03:07 GMT6
Anyway here's what I've found from owning it for 2 days.
Its exactly the same size and shape as the 300D.  Uses the same battery.
Most important is an option in the menu to not allow it to take pictures if
a memory card is not present.  I've fallen for that one before.  Despite ...
EOS Wide-Angle Lens Options?21 Aug 2005 23:51 GMT4
I only got seriously into photography only about a year ago, so I'm
still expanding my equipment bag. I find myself shooting a lot of
landscapes, but my 50mm prime lens doesn't quite cut it for many of
these shots. Obviously, I need a wide-angle zoom or a few wide-angle
Nikon Pronea S APS SLR  and Digital lens21 Aug 2005 23:23 GMT7
I know these are not 35mm but
can you use Nikon lens designed for Nikon digital SLR cameras on the Nikon
APS pronea APS camera?

36exp film thinner than 24exp?21 Aug 2005 14:37 GMT10
all audio and video tapes are the same size, but come in different time
length.  a 90min tape is thinner than a 60min, and 120min is thinner
than 90min; therefore, the longer a tape is, the thinner it is, the
worse the sound.
Pro film vs consumer film vs grain vs scanner21 Aug 2005 01:46 GMT4
Recently, I used non pro film (4 pack of Kodak 100 speed negative film)
cheap one hour processing at Wallgreens...no prints, just CDs.  The look
of the film on the CD turned out kind of grainy looking even though I
used only 100 speed film.  I have read that some scanners ...
Olympus OM-1 and OM-1n20 Aug 2005 20:53 GMT2
What's the difference between these two models? TIA!
Nikon Future DSLR Cameras20 Aug 2005 20:18 GMT2
If the released D200 specs are correct:
!2 Meg at 3fps for 10 RAW
6 Meg at 5fps for 18 RAW Crop Mode
52 ms shutter lag
Microprism focusing20 Aug 2005 18:49 GMT5
I'm trying to learn how the circle focusing disc in the middle of
viewfinders of older cameras works as I want to make a larger area one
for a different application. I gather it is a grid of microprisms on
the ground glass viewfinding screen. Questions are:
What's the difference between Nikon AF and Nikon AF-D20 Aug 2005 18:42 GMT7
There are a bunch of Nikkor 105mm Macro (Yeah, Nikon calls them "Micro")
lenses out there which just say "AF" on the barrel and others which say
"AF-D".  What will a -D lens do that the AF won't?

printer question - Canon i910020 Aug 2005 18:36 GMT1
I have a Canon i9100.  Haven't used it much in the year and a half that I've
had it, but I like it nonetheless.  Anyway, I just moved half way across the
country.  I packed it in it's original packaging very carefully, but it
still seems to have been damaged in transport.  There are ...
Need Nikon N90s user manual20 Aug 2005 14:13 GMT1
Just got a mint N90s, but need a manual. The camera is similar to my N8008s,
but some differences I can't quite figure out. Anyone have one an extra one
he/she can spare or point me to a good online version? Thanks.

Pentax SMC-M 50mm 1.4 vs SMC-A 50mm 1.4?20 Aug 2005 12:41 GMT9
I've heard conflicting reports about them; some people say that the
optics are the same, and others that the SMC-A is better.
What about the SMC-M 50mm 1.7 vs the SMC-A 50mm1.7 vs the 1.4's? I'm
basically looking at resolution, contrast, and shootability at low

Finally bought one. woohoo.  No sign of a claim voucher for my free 256card
or the vouchers for future canon purchases.
Reassuring solid feel with cold metal parts on the fingers. <expecting 'get
a room' etc jokes at this point>.
