How much benefit would the Canon EF 75-300mm F/4-5.6 IS USM be for Friday
night high school football games from the stands?  I don't have any IS
lenses at all, and wonder if one of these would work well.  I can't afford a
really fast lens, and tripods and monopods aren't really ...

printing service whose equipment prints at a set 300dpi (I assume this is

Is there a way to get this camera to meter in manual mode?  I had to
step down from my Elan as it developed a sticky shutter, and I just
moved, so my hand-held lightmeter has vanished.
Currently I'm metering in P then moving to M and setting the exposure
